Sex Education with @Ssshforwomen!

ssshlogoThis week’s guest moderator was @Ssshforwomen and the topic was Sex Education. We discussed sex education in schools, and whether the education was at an appropriate level that fit the needs of the children. One tweeter posted “all aspects of sex-ed should be handled – with openness and no value judgements – just info”.  There was overwhelming agreement that sex-ed classes belong in schools, that it is vital education and that no child should be allowed to opt out. Many of our participants felt that sexual pleasure was a necessary part of the education that wasn’t included in sex education classes. One tweeter posted “Too much emphasis on abstinence, not nearly enough emphasis on technique, consent & pleasure.”
